Craig Maarschalk has been working as a cinematographer since 2009, with 13 years experience in shooting and lighting across many formats including documentary, drama, commercials and reality. His keen eye and visual style has found him a favourite within the documentary world but whatever the genre, he’s dedicated to telling human stories. Craig has shot in many environments, travelling throughout South Africa, Lesotho, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Australia, Ukraine, and the United States. He enjoys the rigour and challenge of the production environment, he’s a team player and enjoys collaborating with other dedicated people to craft compelling images and narratives. Craig has headed up large crews delegating to full technical teams as well as worked in streamlined crews for documentary shoots - whatever the environment Craig always achieves beautiful results.
