Craig Maarschalk has been working as a cinematographer since 2009, with 17 years of experience in shooting and lighting across a range of formats, including documentary, drama, commercials and reality. His keen eye and visual style have made him a favourite within the documentary world, but whatever the genre, he is dedicated to telling human stories.
Craig has shot in a wide range of environments, travelling throughout South Africa, Lesotho, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Australia, Ukraine and the United States. He enjoys the rigour and challenges of the production environment, is a team player and values collaborating with other dedicated people to craft compelling images and narratives. Craig has headed up large crews, delegating to full technical teams, as well as worked with streamlined crews on documentary shoots. Whatever the environment, Craig is committed to achieving beautiful results.
